Niran sabia que havia cometido alguns erros na igreja, mas n\u00e3o achava que o pastor tinha o direito de mencion\u00e1-los na reuni\u00e3o dos irm\u00e3os. \u201cVou mostrar pra ele\u201d, pensou.<\/p><p>Imediatamente, Niran subiu em sua moto e foi visitar um senhor muito respeitado de outra igreja na cidade. Enquanto conversavam, Niran deixou escapar alguns coment\u00e1rios sobre sua decep\u00e7\u00e3o com o pastor Kasem. &#8220;\u00c9 uma pena voc\u00ea n\u00e3o fazer parte da nossa igreja, meu amigo&#8221;, disse o outro anci\u00e3o. &#8220;O pastor Kasem n\u00e3o respeita os mais velhos como deveria. Ele acha que sabe tudo s\u00f3 porque se formou no semin\u00e1rio. Se voc\u00ea esti- vesse conosco, tenho certeza de que ensinaria a ele como tratar as pessoas com respeito.&#8221;<\/p><p>No caminho de volta para casa, Niran sorriu com amargura. \u201cEle n\u00e3o vai fazer isso comigo de novo\u201d, prometeu para si mesmo.<\/p><p>Logo, os boatos se espalharam pelas duas igrejas da cidade. De repente, o pastor Kasem notou que muitos crist\u00e3os estavam menos calorosos nos cumprimentos. Alguns \u2013 at\u00e9 mesmo da outra igreja \u2013 chegaram a lan\u00e7ar olhares de reprova\u00e7\u00e3o.\u00a0(Bem surpreendente!) Mas o pior foi que, entre os crist\u00e3os, antes pac\u00edficos, come\u00e7aram a surgir discuss\u00f5es sobre todo tipo de coisa.<\/p><p>No domingo seguinte, o senhor Niran entrou na igreja com o mesmo sorriso r\u00edgido. Metade da con- grega\u00e7\u00e3o o cumprimentou com simpatia, clara- mente convencida de que o pastor Kasem o havia tratado mal. A outra metade n\u00e3o acreditava nos boatos, mas temia enfrentar a ira dos membros mais falantes da igreja. Naquele dia, o pastor Kasem pregou para uma igreja dividida. Os mem- bros sorriram, como os tailandeses costumam fazer, mas era um sorriso de con\ufb02ito. Uma poss\u00edvel divis\u00e3o lan\u00e7ava sua sombra sobre a comunidade.<\/p><p>Duas semanas depois, um semin\u00e1rio de aconselha- mento e ora\u00e7\u00e3o foi realizado, organizado por um mission\u00e1rio e alguns crist\u00e3os locais. Durante o evento, os participantes aprenderam como o Esp\u00ed- rito Santo pode curar feridas profundas, libertar de pecados persistentes e enfrentar in\ufb02u\u00eancias espirituais malignas. O senhor Niran pensou que seria uma boa oportunidade para mostrar sua espiritualidade. Contudo, conforme o semin\u00e1rio avan\u00e7ava, o Esp\u00edrito Santo come\u00e7ou a convenc\u00ea-lo de seus erros.<\/p><p>Durante sua sess\u00e3o de ora\u00e7\u00e3o com dois membros da equipe de aconselhamento, eles oraram por Niran e o encorajaram a ouvir o que o Esp\u00edrito Santo tinha a dizer. Ele n\u00e3o conseguiu mais manter o orgulho e confessou seus pecados a Deus.<\/p><p>No \u00faltimo dia do semin\u00e1rio, cada participante teve a oportunidade de compartilhar algo que Deus havia feito por eles.
